THURROCK Council is seeking applications for members of a new Coalhouse Fort Advisory Group to help offer advice and move forward with the future plans for Coalhouse Fort at East Tilbury.

Up to 12 volunteers will be selected.

The council says: "You'll need to be passionate about heritage and eager to play a vital role in guiding the preservation, development, and future operations of the site.

"And if you have a track record of leadership, strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a network of contacts that can support the Fort's goals, then this could be the right volunteering opportunity for you.

!The commitment is roughly two days a month over a year-long term.

"Could you offer objective, constructive advice, using your expertise and contacts to help ensure a sustainable future for the Fort?"

The deadline for applications is 09 December 2024, and successful applicants will be notified by 13 December 2024. You can apply here
