Arrest made as people are spotted fleeing truck parked at Lakeside

A POLICE investigation followed after a number of people were spotted fleeing from the back of a lorry parked at Lakeside in West Thurrock today.

The incident happened just after lunctime today (Tuesday, 10 January) in the car park of the Tesco superstore.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We were called to reports of a number of people seen running from the trailer of a lorry near to the Tesco on the Lakeside Retail Park at around 12.25pm.

"Officers attended and one person has been arrested.

"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us. Please quote incident 486 of 10 January.
