AS the Isthmian League season moves towards its climax, there are still significant issues to be decided for three of the borough's non-League clubs . And a fourth has the quest to find a new manager on its hands.

In the Isthmian Premier today (Saturday, 5 March) East Thurrock United travel to Enfield Town, bolstered by last week's win against Carshalton that lifted them off the foot of the table and gave them a glimmer of hope of avoiding the drop.

With 12 games left they are seven points adrift of safety but do have two matches in hand on the teams just above them.

Today's task is far from easy though, Enfield sit in the play-off zone and, cheered on by their enthusiastic fans, it is set to be a tough ask for the Rocks.

In the Isthmian North Aveley's bid to go top with a win at lowly Basildon United ended when the march was postponed because if a waterlogged pitch.

Leaders Canvey Island's game at home to Sudbury had been an early casualty, opening the door for third-placed Millers.

While the title is probably beyond them, Grays Athletic still have a great chance for a play-off place and will expect to pick up three points from a home game against second-from-bottom Barking in one of just three matches in the division to survive.

Tilbury, who are still under the guidance of interim boss Eljay Worrell, have a Saturday off as their game at Coggeshall has been postponed.
