BOROUGH care company Home Instead Thurrock has been awarded a prestigious award by a national reviews website, having been named one of the top 20 home care companies in the East of England.

The award is based on the home care company's reviews on homecare.co.uk, the UK's top home care reviews site dubbed by many as the 'TripAdvisor for home care'. Reviews are given by people that Home Instead cares for, plus their loved ones.

One heart-warming review from a family member said: "I had such a great comfort having the manager and his caregivers being so involved in caring for our dad aged 79, when unfortunately he was bed bound, and grieving after losing his wife of 60 years plus.

"The kindness, compassionate and caring way they showed dad, with all aspects of caring for him, was nothing short of amazing and they felt like part of the family. I felt like I had another pair of safe and caring hands on my side."

Dorcas Afful, co-owner of Home Instead Thurrock, said: "We are elated to be named one of the top 20 home care companies in the region. This recognition is a reminder of our hard work and dedication, but also the trust our clients have shown in us.
