A CHARITY gig in Grays raised more than £1,300 for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

It took place last Friday (29 October) at Tryrells Hall Club and featured the band MondoSpike, whose drummer Road Oakley says: "On behalf of all the guys in the band I would just like to thank everyone for their fantastic support in raising £1,362 for Great Ormond St Hospital.

"Special thanks go out to Tyrrells Hall for the use of the hall, Sabine Oakley for producing a superb buffet supper and organising the raffle.

"Also many thanks to Little Legs disco who provided some great tunes but also organised our stage lighting. Aaron for stepping in and singing some great numbers on stage as well as doing the door and Vanessa Magee for helping with the raffle and doing an independent check of the takings.

"The money has been transferred online.

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did playing."
