POLICE officers in Thurrock have continued their campaign against rogue motorbike riders in the borough with another day of action.

A statement from the force says: "Officers from Thurrock's Community Policing Team (CPT) were out and about to tackle nuisance vehicle incidents across the district and utilised a drone to help locate vehicles and riders.

"Officers paid attention to known hotspot locations and dealt with incidents reported, including at Long Lane in Grays and the old Arena Essex site. Several vehicles were stopped and six section 59 warnings issued.

"If you are seen driving or riding in an anti-social manner, or causing annoyance to the local community, Essex Police has power under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 to seize and remove your vehicle or place a warning (on the first occasion) on both you and your vehicle which lasts for 12 months. This warning would apply to you and any vehicle you drive or ride, as well as your vehicle and anyone who drives or rides it throughout that 12-month period.
