A BOROUGH-born woman has launched her own business – and shared her love of football by sponsoring home town club Grays Athletic.

Charlotte Holmes is the founder of Luxe Results which is a small local massage and facial business in Thurrock, based at Nu Me Salons, Unit 5 Eastern Avenue, Grays.

She told Thurrock Nub News: "I started my business back in December 2023 as more of a hobby,  working two days a week - not making any money at all but just enjoying my skills and building up an actual clientele as well as a decent portfolio

"It was building on my qualifications and six years of experience in high end spas in London such as the Berkeley, and being spa manager at Artotel Battersea as well as getting a spa management degree.

"From May this year I turned my hobby into an actual established business, which is now open from Monday to Saturday every week.

"I now have a nice established client base that also includes a wide range of different clients.

"I have lived in Grays all my life attending Thameside infant and primary school and Hathaway Academy.

"I have recently become a sponsor of Grays Athletic football club after being a fan since I was a little girl and my banner is going up at the football ground for this weekend's first home league match of the season (Saturday, 9 August).

Launching her business has meant lifelong fan Charlotte can sponsor her local team.

"I have also started sponsoring a local boxer."

And Charlotte's commitment to supporting the local community extends to helping older and vulnerable folk in the area.

She adds: "I volunteer my business once every two months to attend a morning at Piggs Corner sheltered housing complex to offer hand and arm massage treatments to its residents and I am currently in talks with other care homes in hope to give back to the community which is something I feel is very important for my business."
