THURROCK Foster Carers have been honoured at a celebration event for the inspirational work they do helping children and young people in the borough.
Cllr Terry Piccolo, Mayor of Thurrock and Dan Jones, Service Manager - Fostering, Adoption & Placements Service, presented awards to our Foster Carers who had attained 5, 10 and 20 years of fostering children and young people in Thurrock. Foster carers who have supported our recruitment of new foster carers throughout 2019 were also acknowledged.
Cllr Sue Little, Cabinet Member for Children's and Adult Social Care, said: "I would like to thank all of our foster carers for everything that they do for our vulnerable children and young people in our communities, your hard work and commitment does not go unnoticed.
"This celebration event is a small way of saying thank you to our foster carers, many of whom have given many years of service and dedication and have helped the Children's social care service to receive a Good OFSTED rating."
