THURROCK resident and organisation founder Srikanth Goud Panjal led a presentation party recently that handed boks to the British Library on behalf of Navsamaj Darpan, a charity that promotes cultural values and Indian regional literacy.

The books are in the South Indian language Telugu and Mr Panjala praised the Library and South Indian collections curator Arani Ilankuberan for accepting the books.

"Our motive is to encourage use of the language and to spread books to reach everyone in the United Kingdom through public libraries.

"We have waited a long time for this amazing day."
