FOR a second week running students at Tilbury's Olive AP Academy have paid tribute to the emergency services by delivering a special message and gifts.

Last week they turned up to present a thank-you banner to staff at Basildon and Thurrock Hospital's heart ward.

And today (Thursday, 30 April) they were spreading happiness again at Orsett Fire Station where they delivered cakes and cookies to firefighters and presented firefighters with a ladder thank-you card.

Watch manager Dave Bond said: "Thank you to Olive Academy from all of Orsett Fire Station for our goodies and cards from the children at your school.

"It was really appreciated and the card has taken pride of place in our station."
