By Neil Speight 4th Oct 2020

ACROSS the borough lots of people are putting their feet up this evening (Sunday, 4 October) after4 a day of running, jogging and walking to take part in the Virtual London Marathon.

Nub News has been been reporting through the day on a number of residents who have been taking part in the nationwide event event which replaced the actual marathon which was twice postponed because of Coronavirus.

You can check out our films and reports here.

Among those running with friends was Corringham teacher Veronique Surry-Kaise.

Another group running around Stanford-le-Hope, Corringham and the surrounding district were supporters of the Sammy Jo Brandon Foundation which you can read all about via this link . Please visit and support this great cause.

Thurrock Nub News caught up with them as they were a few miles short of completing the challenge and you can view our live report here.

Three ladies from Chafford Hundred decided they would take part, raising money for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, Cancer Research and other charities. Hear their story in this story's main video link.
