ROAD closures around the Orsett Cock roundabout will begin this evening (Tuesday, 10 august), running through to a major closure at the weekend as part of the ongoing A13 road widening project.

Brentwood Road (he A128) will be closed overnight, followed by a 56-hour closure this weekend.

The closures will affect Brentwood Road in both directions between Orsett Cock Roundabout and Welling Road, and will enable drainage, kerbing, street lighting and road surfacing works to take place as part of the A13 Road Widening Project.

When the road is closed, traffic will be diverted via the A1013 Stanford Road, Dane Holes Roundabout, Wood View, B149 Chadwell Bypass, Chadwell Hill and Brentwood Road, and vice versa.

The road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 5am for three nights from tonight. From 9pm on Friday 13 August the road will be closed for the entire weekend until 5am on Monday 16 August to enable more complex works to take place.

In addition, temporary 'stop and go boards' will be in use at the Brentwood Road junction with Welling Road this week and next, during off-peak daytime hours between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
