THESE are busy times for Thurrock estate agent which is finding interest in the new homes and lettings market in the borough is booming.

Griffin Residential Group lettings manager Jason Blake says the lettings market has proved particularly buoyant and he has praised his team for their work in coping through the Covid pandemic.

He told Nub News: "It was with great trepidation that the rental department here at Griffin returned after the Christmas break to evaluate market conditions in Thurrock. Previous months had already created a challenging environment with not only Brexit to contend with but also the onset of the Covid pandemic and we were all acutely aware that our department would need to rise to difficult times going forward.

"With determination and the implementation of new working procedures staff increased our companies exposure through enhanced advertising, secured new instructions from landlords and sourced suitable fully referenced tenants and swiftly moved ahead with the business of renting homes.

"On reflection the previous three months of hard work have proved to be an outstanding success with the Griffin Residential Group having organised 68 new rentals and establishing our lettings department far ahead of the competition.

Meanwhile the sales market is also bubbling – so much so that Griffin have just appointed a new sales manager for their Grays office.
