WORK is underway, and is likely to continue until the end of next week, which has meant the closure of a busy link road on a Grays residential estate.

King Edward Drive in Grays has been closed near to the junction with Grangewood Avenue and adjacent to a small parade of shops for road improvements which include a new crossing point, a speed reducing table and new parking spaces.

As well as the road, a nearby bridleway which links Daneholes with Barnmead Meadow and Orsett Heath is also closed.

The work (detailed here) is scheduled to continue until Sunday, 8 November but can be continued if it overruns.
