A BOROUGH golf club has been celebrating a successful year for its three captains – who have delivered a huge boost for local good causes.
Langdon Hills Golf Club members have shown terrific support for their three leaders, who between them have banked more than £31,000 from their year in office.
Lady captain Fiona Clements has raised £9,000 for the British Heart Foundation.

As part of her fundraising, Fiona also helped raise funds for two defibrillators for the club - one for the clubhouse and one for the golf course.
Club captain Jason Child raised £12,500 for St Luke's Hospice, while Senior captain, David Girling has delivered £9,600 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
A club statement said: "Charity is a really important part of life at Langdon Hills Golf Club, and our members are always incredibly generous when it comes to supporting our Captains and the charities they have chosen.
"We really are a community here, and there is a real family feel within the club. Everyone gets behind the fundraising, whether that's taking part in events, buying raffle tickets, donating or simply coming along to support the day.

"It's something we are really proud of at Langdon Hills — our members genuinely enjoy coming together, having fun and raising money for such worthwhile causes.
"Between the three captains, they have raised a fantastic £31,100 this year, which is a brilliant achievement and a real reflection of the generosity and community spirit we have at the club.
"A huge thank you to Fiona, Jason and David for all the time and effort they have put into their fundraising throughout their year as captain, and of course to all our wonderful members for their continued support and generosity."
