TV viewers will be able to follow the progress of teenage Thurrock chorister Ismael Dosoo from East Tilbury on Sunday.
At the age of eight, the former Gateway Primary School pupil gained a scholarship to study at St Paul's Cathedral School where he served as a full-time Chorister at the Cathedral for five years.

In 2022 he picked up Thurrock Rotary Club's "Solo Vocalist of the Year" prize at the club's Young Musician of the Year event, competing against singers who were much older – and went on to win the title for two further years in succession.
A year later he gained a Music Scholarship to attend Rugby School where he is studying towards his GCSEs next summer.
Fifteen-year-old Ismael has performed at the BBC Proms, sung at Prince Philip's memorial service, the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, and the Queen's state memorial service — events watched by millions around the world.
As reported on Thurrock Nub News, this year he entered the BBC Young Chorister of the Year and his progress will be revealed this weekend when the Senior Semi-Final, filmed in July, is broadcast.

Aled Jones and the Rev Kate Bottley host the programme, with judges David Grant, Laura Wright and Cameron Richardson, and it can be viewed on Sunday (11 October) at 1.15pm on BBC1. It will then be available on I-Player.
The junior semi-final was broadcast last weekend and from this Sunday's competition, three senior choristers will go on to the final, to be broadcast the following weekend.
