FOLLOWING an accident this morning (Sunday, 7 May) there were delays on the eastbound A13 around the junction with the A1089 (Tilbury Dock approach Road) and the latter was blocked.

A vehicle is reported to have overturned in the incident that happened around 9am.

Essex Police have reported: "We attended, but no one injured and no other car involved."

A statement from Essex Fire and Rescue says: " "We were called by the Ambulance Service to a road traffic collision on Dock Approach Road / A1089 Tilbury today at 7.18am.

"Two crews from Grays and one from Orsett attended and found a woman trapped in a car which was on its side.

"Firefighters stabilised the car and cut away part of the roof to free the casualty. She was left in the care of the Ambulance Service at 7.49am"
