Car smashed into Blacksmith's forge

A BUILDING was badly damaged by a hit and run driver.

The incident happened on Friday (12 May) in Linford where a white Mercedes left the road and crashed into the blacksmith's workshop on the corner of Buckingham Hill Road and Muckingford Road.

Significant damage was caused to the building.

The car was still able to be driven but was later found by police, who are investigating the incident that happened around 3pm, in nearby Somerset Road.
