Carers' event is a boost for Ukraine aid effort

STAFF at a Grays-based homecare company opened their doors to visitors today (Friday, 25 March) as part of a fundraiser to help refugees in the Ukraine.

Staff at Manorcourt Care in Whitehall Lane all contributed items to a cake sale held today which proved a big hit with passers-by.

During the day a wide selection of cakes and buns were up for sale and at the end of a busy afternoon more than £300 had been raised which will be contributed to the aid camapign for beleagured citizens of the war-torn country
