RENOWNED Thurrock artist John Gathercole will be host an exhibition of his work at his Grays home over the coming weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 20 & 212 July).

John, whose work will be familiar to visitors to Thurrock's Thameside Theatre where it adorned the walls for many years, is a contemporary artist held in high esteem.

The theme of this weekend's exhibition (open from 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday) is mental health and recovery.

John's home-based gallery is known as Helter Skeleton and includes a shop and gallery showcasing artists and their commercial products.
