Co-op cheques in for Re-engage

By Nub News Reporter 21st Jun 2025

THE borough branch of the Re-engage charity, which supports lonely, elderly and vulnerable people, has been boosted by a donation from the Co-op store on Sockets Heath, Grays.

Local Re-engage co-ordinator Loraine Coleman said: "A very big Re-engage Thurrock thank-you to Claire and our local Coop at Sockets Heath, Blackshots, for their very generous donation of £250.

"Claire presented their amazing cheque to Paula and Ros Volunteer Group Co-ordinators from Re-engage.

"The Co-op have supported our lovely charity for many years now. The very generous donation will enable us to continue supporting local elderly residents to find companionship and friendship. Thank you so so much."
