Community and business offer support for inaugural golf day and fundraiser for good causes

A CHARITY golf day and evening event will raise funds for Little Hero's, ASD support charity and Papyrus a prevention of young suicide charity. 

The event, taking place tomorrow (Friday, 30 June) has been organised by Grays-based JM Group Contracts Ltd and it is hoped the event will become an annual one.

It will include a competition at Mardyke Valley Golf Club in South Ockendon and will be followed the the evening event, which includes disco and auction, at Tyrells Hall Club in Little Thurrock.

A spokesperson for JM Contracts said: "We have had a lot of support with local companies sponsoring golf holes and Tyrells Hall Club gifting us the hall for the evening.

We would like to say thank you to all our sponsors who include Image On, Tranquil Construction, Crown Decorartors, Bomber Café, Aspen Windows, Tilbury Scaffold, Gowler Decorations, I.M motors, Tilbury Seakings, Thurrock Container Services, PPL Flooring, Advanced Building services, Thurrock Hardwoods, Laindon Cars, Brothers Café, Fielding Transport, Let's Go Management, Markhams, Trees Fencing and Paving, Premier hoist Solutions, 5 star cleaning, Lowes metal, DODS, FTI Contracts Ltd, Tyrrells Hall Social Club, Burty Transport, World Freight, Globe Supplies, Port of Tilbury, Hardy Transport and Aleam) and everyone who has helped put the event together. Local business's have also been kind enough to donate raffle items (Izgara Meze, Salon, Fish and Chicken and First Class barbers.

The evening disco and auction is open for all to raise funds.
