Community champion has a bloooming good idea

By Neil Speight 27th May 2020

A PLEASANT surprise will await some unsuspecting person this afternoon (Wednesday, 27 May) thanks to the community champion at a local store.

Tarnya Bennett of Morrisons in Grays has arranged a simple Facebook competition asking people to nominate someone worthy of receiving a bouquet.

All people have to do is visit her post on the Grays discussion page here and nominate someone.

While not everyone will get the flowers, the posts will be a reflection of the great work of many deserving people.

Tarnya says: "It's just nice to hear about the good things. We just wanted to give some flowers away to a deserving person and it's nice for people to shout out about who has helped them.

"I'll be picking a deserving cause at random later today and delivering this afternoon."
