Cops in crackdown on dodgers and beggars

POLICE officers joined revenue inspectors for a crackdown on beggars and fare dodgers on c2c trains from Fenchurch Street this evening (Wednesday, 11 December).

A statement from British Transport Police in Essex said: "c2c passengers have asked us to focus our resources on begging and fare evasion.

"This evening along with London British Transport Police and c2c_Rail Revenue Inspector we have been conducting joint train patrols from London into Essex.

"If you see any beggars please text us on 61016."
