THURROCK Care at Home has been rated 'Good' following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Thurrock Care at Home is Thurrock Council's in-house care service that provides personal care and support to vulnerable adults living in their own homes.

Cllr Sue Little, Cabinet Member for Social Care, said: "This is a fabulous result since the last report in 2018 where the service was rated Requires Improvement. Receiving an overall rating of Good for the Thurrock Care at Home service is tremendous and reflects the commitment of all the council officers to this service.

"It is important that the residents who use the Thurrock Care at Home service have choice and control of their lives and our staff support them with their best interests at heart, promoting their independence and enabling people to live in their own homes with confidence."

"This is another Good rating for our care services for vulnerable residents following our OFSTED Good in December for Children's Services."
