By Neil Speight 19th May 2022

THURROCK Council is seeking someone to drive forward its plans for the redevelopment of Tilbury - at an annual salary that could pay as much £150,000.

The council, which has previously paid out millions of pounds to consultations for botched projects including the A13 widening and the Stanford Rail station rebuild, is looking to appoint a 'Regeneration Project Manager' on a full time contract - paying between £500 and £600 a day.

The job description for the task of leading on the development and delivery of the £22.8 million Tilbury Towns Fund programme, says applicants should be able to develop, implement and manage complex regeneration and capital projects across the borough.

In the detailed delivery of the qualities needed the council says the role will involve managing consultant teams ensuring effective contributions to project and programme objectives.

Among other job opportunities also currently available at the cash-strapped council are a number of roles in development management and planning as it seeks to get its local plan back on track.
