Council supports digital coaching for local entrepreneurs
By Nub News Reporter 31st May 2026
THURROCK Council is subsidising one-to-one digital coaching sessions for small to medium sized enterprises based in the borough.
The programme, delivered by Southend-based South Essex Advanced Technical Skills (SEATS), is designed to improve day-to-day productivity by helping businesses make better use of the tools they already have in place, such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. It is designed for businesses requiring a short advice session rather than a training course.
The course is part-funded by Thurrock Council via UK Shared Prosperity Funding, though the government grant scheme folded in March.
In its latest business briefing the council announced it will be funding 80% of each session which is normally £50 plus VAT. Subscribers only have to contribute £10+VAT (£12).
Starting in June, each session will last 50 minutes and be delivered online via Microsoft Teams.
There are 50 subsidised sessions available. Click here to book a place.
