Councillors' allowances to drop - by £2 a year!

By Neil Speight 26th Jan 2020

Council leader Rob Gledhill, for example, will be paid a total of £41,400 a year while a cabinet member gets £21,700.

This week's meeting of the full council will hear a report from a panel set up to look at allowances which says they should remain at their current level, though they have rounded the Thurrock allowance from £9,202 by two pounds to create parity with neighbouring Southend Council.
