Covid impact forces closure of civic tip

THE impact of Covid-19 has prompted Thurrock Council to close its household waste and recycling Centre on Buckingham Hill Road, near Stanford-le-Hope tomorrow.

The council announced the closure on social media this evening, saying: "Linford tip will be closed on Tuesday, 12 January due to staff shortages resulting from increased local rates of Covid-19."
