A POTENTIALLY lifesaving defibrillator has been installed outside the Tyrrells Hall Club in Little Thurrock.

Funds for it were raised by club members who were inspired by an idea to get one by member Dan Wakefield, who suffered a personal loss of someone whose life might have been saved had a defib been available.

Lynn Childs from the club on Dock Road, Little Thurrock, said: "We would like to thank all our members for their donations. The defib is now activated and is installed outside the club, being available for local people 24/7.

"Let's hope it is never needed, but if it is, it saves a life."
