15th Aug 2020 | Local News

THERE are significant delays at the southbound Dartford Crossing following an incident this morning.

The QEII bridge was closed at one point and currently there are just two lanes open due to a police investigation. It is now expected that the bridge will not full reopen until around noon.

It is reported that a person has jumped from the bridge.

At 11am police issued the following statement: "Kent Police was called at around 6am on Saturday 15 August 2020 to the M25 near Dartford, following concerns for the welfare of a person on the southbound carriageway. Patrols remain at the scene where enquiries continue. One lane is currently closed to traffic."
