Delivery driver who survived impact in dramatic crash has pelvic injury. Police are appealing for witnesses

POLICE have given an update on last night's (Friday, 5 January) crash in Chafford Hundred when a motorbike delivery rider was in collision with a car.

The rider initially walked away from the dramatic incident and was able to get into an ambulance that arrived soon after.

However, an East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson gave an update on the sutuation, revealing an injury that is potential serious. The statement says: "We were called just after 7.30pm on Friday, 5 January to a road traffic collision involving a moped and car on Drake Road in Chafford Hundred.

"An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene. The rider of the moped was transported to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further assessment and treatment."

Police have also reported that he has suffered an injury, which could be serious. and they have called for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

A statement says: "We were called to reports of a collision involving a moped and a car at the junction of Drake Road with Camden Road, Chafford Hundred at around 7.35pm.

"The rider of the moped has sustained a potentially serious pelvis injury.
