A YEAR after having a bid to demolish a bungalow and build eight new homes in its place rejected by Thurrock councillors, a new bid has been put before the authority to put nine new homes on the site.

In January last year the application for the new homes at Windy Ridge, a site at 251 Branksome Avenue in Stanford-le-Hope was thrown out because of its overbearing impact upon adjacent homes plus parking and waste collection issues.

Now the applicants have come back with a new proposal, increasing the number of properties they want to put on the site.

And they say: "The proposals have the potential to have a positive impact on the appearance of the locality and make positive uses of a sustainable residential site and contribute to the housing demand in Thurrock Council."

You can check out the full application, and comment here.
