THERE was some disruption on roads accessing the Dartford Crossing in the latest action by the Insulate Britain campaign.

Traffic delays were initially reported to be minor as police moved quickly to deal with the incident centred on the A206 Crossways Boulevard.

However, the result of the protest was a build-up of traffic and just after 10am it was reported that queues had reached back over the QEII bridge.

There were also protests near the A40 in West London.

It is reported that angry residents and motorists have reacted to the campaigners action by pelting them with liquid, possibly ink.
