A THURROCK councillor who has been on the vaccination frontline in the borough has called on all residents to step up and get their Covid jabs.

Cllr Daniel Chukwu has been voluntering at a medical centre in his Chadwell St Mary ward and has heaped praise on the staff and volunteers delivering the vaccines.

He said: "It has been an honour to volunteer at the vaccination site in the Chadwell Medical Centre. The staff and volunteers are working extremely hard to vaccinate everyone in the the local community.

"They are friendly, effective, efficient and superb. The Chadwell community are very proud of them. Kudos to them!"

He concluded with this plea: "When it is your turn, please take up the offer of a vaccine. The fantastic staff and volunteers in Chadwell St Mary are ready for you!"
