A THURROCK-based musician and broadcaster has launched an appeal to help musicians and performers who are in dire straits, having lost the opportunity to earn a living because venues have been closed down by coronavirus.

Dorian Quest runs Thames Delta Radio and Quest Music Services from the Thameside Complex in Grays and he has set up a fundraising page on the Just Giving platform.

He says: "The Corona Virus/Covid 19 emergency has had a huge impact on everybody.

"This crowdfunding page has been put together by Thames Delta Community radio who plan to pay musicians, DJs and MCs to perform for at virtual events on a professional platform that everybody can enjoy.

"We plan to use this fund to keep the live performance industry going through this difficult time.

"If you like music then please, please donate and help keep British Music alive during these difficult and strange times."

Meanwhile Thames Delta Radio is running a series of events from UNIT, its dedicated broadcast studio located on the second floor in the Thameside Complex. Find out more at www.questmusicservices.com
