THE daughter of a much-loved Thurrock landlady who died after contracting coronavirus has paid tribute to her on television.

Mother, grandmother and great grandmother Margaret Orman, 76, was among a number of victims of coronavirus featured on a BBC news programme, where she was described as a much-loved figure at the heart of community life.

Her daughter Vicky appeared on TV to pay tribute to her mum, saying: "She was the Queen of the Whitmore Arms, our family business. She's been together with my dad (Jim) for 62 years.

"She was a friend to everyone, she loved to sit and talk to everyone and help if she could."
