Dozen trees boost environment

By Neil Speight   31st May 2021

TWELVE birch trees have been planted at Montreal Community Green in Tilbury thanks to Thurrock Council's resident engagement team working in partnership with other council services and local residents.

Tilbury residents were asked to vote for their favourite out of four designs for the site and the engagement team also answered questions and concerns about the care and maintenance of the trees.

The 12 birch trees, chosen for environmental benefits, were planted alongside new installed seating to provide an inviting area for residents to rest and use as a recreational space.
