Driver of stolen van who drove down A13 wrong way faces seven charges

A MAN faces seven charges after being involved in a police pursuit from Kent to Essex.

During the incident on Thursday (3 December) the man drove a stolen van the wrong way down the A13.

Police officers from both counties were involved assisted by a police helicopter.

When the man and van were eventually apprehended a significant amount of cash was found in the van.

A police statement said officers had taken action to "detain this offender and secure evidence,after his determined and dangerous efforts to get away, endangering the public by driving the wrong way on the A13".

The man has now been released on bail.
