E-scooter girl in collision with bus in Grays

A GIRL riding an e-scooter was taken to hospital after colliding with a bus in Grays yesterday (Friday, 8 September).

Her injuires are not believed to be life-threatening. Though an ambulance was en-route to the scene, on Orsett Road close to the junction with Hathaway Road, she was taken to the hospital by a family member.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We were called to Orsett Road in Grays at around 3:25pm following reports of a collision involving an e-scooter and a bus.

"The girl driving the e-scooter was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing.

"Orsett Road was temporarily closed whilst emergency services were on scene.

"Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision remain ongoing."
