A man has been arrested following a collision in the early hours of the morning at Orsett Heath.

It happened on heath Road, close to the junction with Hornsby Lane.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We were called to Heath Road, shortly after 00.30am on Saturday, 7 December following reports of a car in collision with a parked car and damage to a wall.

"A 30-year-old man at the scene has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

"The man remains in custody.

"Throughout December, Essex Police are supporting a national drink drive campaign to target drink drivers.

 Zero tolerance to drink driving as part of national campaign: 1-31 December | Essex Police."
