A LOCAL butchers is taking to the rural roads of Thurrock to offer a free delivery service to older and vulnerable people and those forced to self isolate because of coronavirus or who would rather not venture out.
J. York Butchers from East Tilbury has launched the free service today (Monday, 16 March) and they will deliver free to Linford, East Tilbury, West Tilbury and Chadwell St Mary.
A spokesperson for the butchers said: "The order needs to be over £10 and payment must be by debit or credit card. Deliveries will be left in a safe place upon request. Please order by phone on 01375673063."
Across the borough there is a growing sense of community and help as individuals, charities, community groups and businesses rally to help vulnerable people of those affected by the outbreak.
