PURFLEET-on-Thames Community Forum is leading the painting of the historic riverside railings edging the River Thames, from Purfleet Quay in front of Purfleet Heritage and Military Centre going east towards the green.

And local residents are being asked to help make their contribution by getting involved over the Easter weekend.

The forum has started painting the riverside railings and is hoping more local people will attend on Saturday (16 April) 10am. Refreshments for our helpers.

A forum spokesperson said: "If you would like to help - painting or preparations please join us on the green by the river near the beacon.

"It is really satisfying with a great view of the river into London.. Refreshments provided for the workers."
