Emergency teams combine to deal with incident at Tilbury landing

EMERGENCY services including the RNLI and Coastguard combined to manage an incident by the Thames at Tilbury this morning (Saturday, 8 August).
An alarm was raised at around 10.30am about what has been described as a 'welfare incident'.
A statement from the Coastguard said: "We were called and RNLI Gravesend lifeboat was sent, along with Canvey Island Coastguard Rescue Team, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, East of England Ambulance Service and Essex Police.
"The incident concluded at 12.28pm."
