DESPITE a previous apology by Thurrock Council and a pledge to make things better, residents in the borough's showcase new block of social housing are still suffering delays and non collections of their rubbish.

Thurrock Nub News has reported several times on the problem, most recently in August, but local councillor Martin Kerin says the problems continue.

He says: "This is an ongoing issue that is not getting any better.

"There are repeatedly missed collections and it is becoming a health and safety issue.

"I have repeatedly raised this as an issue with the Council.

"Time and time again, the residents of Alma Court are not receiving the service that they pay for and are entitled to.

"This issue has been going on for too long - enough is enough!"
