By Neil Speight 1st Mar 2020

AN event opens in Thurrock tomorrow (Monday, 2 March) celebrating women.

Thurrock Museum Volunteers will be celebrating International Women's Day by mounting an exhibition in the ground floor gallery of the Thameside Complex in Grays.

The exhibition recognises the role of women who have a connection with Thurrock during war and peace.

The free event will be staged from Monday, 2 March to Friday, 13 March from 10am to 4pm (closing at 11am, on Friday 13 March).
