THE expanded Aldi store on London Road in Grays reopened this morning (Thursday, 24 November) at 8am, following a significant refurbishment and extension.

Shoppers can now benefit from a larger retail space of 1,484 sqm, with the store now having more space and clearer signs to make shopping effortless.

Fresh bread and cakes have been moved to the last aisle, preventing them from getting squashed under customers' shopping, and the store will now offer new, easy to browse freezers.

The store will be run by manager Nikki, along with a team of 36 colleagues from the local community. Aldi have created eight new jobs as a result of the extension and are continuing to recruit for the Grays store. Applications and more information on all of Aldi's store positions can be found on Aldi's recruitment website: www.aldirecruitment.co.uk/stores.

Nikki said: "The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available. Hopefully the new look store will make shopping at Aldi Grays that bit easier and more comfortable."

Following its reopening, the store, located on 99-101 London Road, Grays, RM17 5YB, will be open: Monday – Saturday:  08:00 – 22:00; Sunday:  10:00- 16:00
