By Neil Speight   31st Aug 2022

DETAILS of how an East Tilbury woman died in a road crash days before Christmas were given at an inquest into her death.

Members of her family attended a hearing at Seax House, Chelmsford, yesterday (Tuesday, 30 August) which heard that 46-year-old Keira Grover was travelling on the B1007 near Horndon on the Hill on Friday, 17 December last year.

The accident happened at around 9.30pm when Ms Grover attempted to overtake a vehicle and and collided with a vehicle coming in the opposite direction. Emergency services rushed to the scene but Ms Grover was declared dead at the crash site despite the best efforts of paramedics.

No blame has been attached to the other drivers involved in the incident.

Area Coroner Michelle Brown delivered a verdict that Ms Grover died as a result of a road traffic accident.
