A NEW defibrillator and cabinet has been installed at Stifford Clays Primary School for the use of the local community should it ever be needed.

School head Jack Lloyd told Nub News: "This was with the support of Katie's Heart Appeal and a local family who kindly donated this to the school.

"The children and grandchildren of the family attended Stifford Clays Primary over many years and have very fond memories of the school.

"The family lost their grandfather in April this year with all monies raised through fundraising being allocated to several defibrillators and cabinets being installed across the borough.

"This means that residents of the local community have access to this life-saving equipment if they need it.

"The school would like to thank the Lloyd family for their very kind donation and also to TSJ Electrical for installing the electrical components for free."
