USERS of the Tilbury-Gravesend ferry will have to find alternative means of getting across the river tomorrow (Tuesday, 22 June).

Service operators Jetstream have reported operation difficulties and are hoping to get a replacement vessel into service but early morning crossings have been cancelled.

The company says: "There will be no service tomorrow morning. We are aiming to have service resumed by 1005/1015 with the Jacob Marley and she will be aiming for a weather window to make her way around the coast to Gravesend."
